Option D: Pre-K 4's

Monday, Tuesday,  Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Full Day

Class meets five days a week from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00pm

Morning Schedule

• Table toy play time
• Chapel bi-monthly with Pastor Kischnick or Pastor Woods
• Number jobs
• Opening: Weather, calendar, letter, number, shape of the day with helpers, individual share time, bible story and concept time, prayer, The Lord's Prayer, pledge to American and Christian flags, singing or story time
• Table time - craft related to the Bible lesson or concept of the day
• Center play
• Music bi-monthly with music director Helen Bohannon
• Snack at the table
• Story and songs
• Dismissal

Units Include:  Jesus blesses the children, Fruits of the Spirit,  Colors,  Numbers,  Alphabet (phonics and writing skill),  Shapes,  Geography - Travel to places around the world,  Farm unit,  Forest unit,  Ocean unit,  Art unit - sculpture, landscape, seascape, still life, collage, self portrait

Special Days: Beach day, Bubble day, Pajama day, Visits from dentist, policeman, fireman, Mother's Night, Father's Night, Thanksgiving Feast, Holiday parties, Sing at church (two times per year)
 

Erichment Schedule

• Gross motor indoor or outdoor
• Lunch
• 30 minute rest
• Concept of the day
• Activities and crafts related to the story or concept of the day at the table
• Center play
• Story, games, songs
• Dismissal

 

Units Include:  Friendship/Manners, Bugs/ Insects/Nature, Fall/Thanksgiving, Christmas/Winter, If you give a mouse, Dinosaurs, Eric Carle, Clifford, Valentine's, Dr Seuss, I spy, Spring/Easter, Creation, Family/transportation, Countdown to Kindergarten
